Footfeed, a new mobile check-in aggregator network, today released an API that gives developers the opportunity to add multi check-in capabilities to their apps. By adding the API functionality, developers now have an easy way to let their users check-in to multiple services with one press of a button. The API is both read / write capable and integrates with APIs from Brightkite, Foursquare, Gowalla, Facebook and Twitter.

Footfeed recently launched the first iPhone native multi check-in app this past June, giving users of multiple check-in services what they were asking for; a single app to check-in to all services simultaneously. Footfeed integrates APIs from top the check-in networks and developed an advanced matching algorithm that is able to match locations across the various services. The result is that people can now check-in to multiple networks using the Footfeed app, while still earning points, badges, rewards and mayorships offered from the different check-in services. With the release of the Footfeed API, the trend of enabling apps with the ability to check-in to multiple networks is expected to heat up.
